The Upper House

Take a Closer Look

The design of The Upper House embodies the idea of an upward journey. The Upper House invites guests through an atmospheric entrance and up a dimly lit escalator into a naturally lit space featuring an adjacent grassy area. The upward journey continues into the spacious guest rooms, which are presented in two colour schemes – bamboo and celadon – to heighten the feeling of serenity. The highlight of the upward journey is the Sky Bridge on Level 49, which features a skylight above a 40-metre-high atrium and leads to the Sky Lounge and the hotel’s Mediterranean inspired dining concept Salisterra.

Andrew Fu

Designer - Andre Fu

Hong Kong-born architect Andre Fu, hailed by Vogue UK as a “design wunderkind” and Condé Nast Traveler US as an “Asian design sensation”, is behind the design of The Upper House, Andre Fu said, “With an intention to create a small, intimate hotel reminiscent of a private residence, I have purposely conjured a sense of tranquillity throughout the design and ambience of the hotel.”
